When aired on radio or television, an advertisement is called a commercial.
-Book Design
Book design is the art of incorporating the content, style, format, design, and sequence of the various components of a book into a coherent whole. In the words of Jan Tschichold, book design, "though largely forgotten today, methods and rules upon which it is impossible to improve, have been developed over centuries. To produce perfect books, these rules have to be brought back to life and applied." Richard Hendel describes book design as "an arcane subject", and refers to the need for a context to understand what that means

A poster must convey its message with immediacy and purpose, because people on the street are often in a hurry. Task 2 : Element of Graphic Design
Element of graphic design is a process to create form or its a guide artwork and plan. Also known as Principle of graphic design.
What thing? Which thing or Concept? is Graphic Design?
Actually there is a few important things if we need to do or remember about the best graphic design or learnt about basic graphic design which is :-
Shape
Divide info graphic also knows as an area that is contained within implied line, or is seen and identified because of color or value changes. Shapes have two dimensions, length and width, and can be geometric or free-form. Design in painting is basically the planned arrangement of shapes in a work of art. In a picture, the shapes that the artist has placed are considered the positive shapes. The spaces around the shapes are the negative spaces. It is just as important to consider the negative space in a picture as the positive shapes.
lines
Lines are used to divide space, direct the eye, and create forms. At the most basic level, straight lines are found in layouts to separate content, such as in magazine, newspaper, and website designs. This can of course go much further, with curved, dotted, and zigzag lines used as the defining elements on a page and as the basis for illustrations and graphics. Often, lines will be implied, meaning other elements of design will follow the path of line, such as type on a curve.
Color
CMYK, RGB
The color element has three properties: hue, intensity, and value. The hue is the type of color such as red, green, orange, and blue. The intensity is a measure of brightness and dullness. The value is how light or dark the color appears. The philosophy and phenomenon of color is described in detail later in this section.
Value
Value is how light or dark an area looks in a design. It is everything from the darkest of blacks through to the brightest of whites. Used correctly it will create depth, contrast and emphasis. The element of value is the darkness or lightness of a surface. It is typically used to represent volume, reveal the presence of a light source, and add realism to depth. Variations in shade are often the result of a light source.
Texture
Another design tool is texture, which officially is defined as the character of a surface. Texture on paper adds dimension, through repeated dots or lines, for example. Be careful when selecting textures; decide if you’re using a textured paper or adding it in the design. Using many different textures can be confusing and work against the overall design of a piece.
Space
Balanced or these is three basic shape types are Geometric, Natural and abstract. Use carefully to create a visually pleasing design and eye-catching design.
Emphasis
Focus point or main point and also sometimes if the art or design too crowed it'll cost to no focus point. Emphasis is used by artists to create dominance and focus in their work. Artists can emphasize color, value, shapes, or other art elements to achieve dominance. Various kinds of contrast can be used to emphasize a center of interest.
Size
In graphic design, size is used to convey importance, attract attention and create contrast.
